" I'm high as a kite and I just might stop to check you out..."

I love these psychedelic little bracelets by Naughty Secretary Club. I imagine they're something Marsha and Jan would fight over.

But, maybe they're more akin to The Partridge Family.

Americone Dreams

This is a very difficult product to find. Ever since Stephen Colbert announced that Ben & Jerry's would be making an ice cream in his name, my father and I have been scouring freezers in search of it. But finally, today I came upon it in the freezer of our local deli and the rest was history. It is well worth the wait, the crunchy, chocolate-covered bits and caramel swirls make this a most excellent dessert.

" Four score and seven years ago... "

On my last post I showed a picture of Emily Martin of The Black Apple fame, wearing a very adorable Abraham Lincoln brooch. I am now obsessed with it and I must obtain my own.

" I got really fixated on the idea of an Abraham Lincoln brooch...I do that a lot, get an idea of something that I want, and then have no idea how to obtain said item.
But I found a nice Abe cabochon-type-pin on Etsy! Hooray.
It is currently a favorite accessory. " -From " Some Girls Wander. "

Unfortunately, since Emily bought hers from Etsy, it is probably one of a kind.(Which would explain why I couldn't find it, or anything like it.) Fortunately though, I can still get my Lincoln fix with this " Honest Abe Bracelet " and " Abe was a Babe Necklace " from Naughty Secretary Club.

Dollface

How cute is Emily Martin of The Black Apple? Not only does she produce adorable products for her etsy store, her outfits are just as amazing. With a penchant for knee high socks, Remix shoes, vintage slips, and handmade accessories, you can't go wrong.

Its all in the details.

In a blond wig and a trench coat.

Emily apparently owns only two pairs of pants.

She customizes almost all of her clothing, even this bag from Target.

In its original form.

Embracing the avian trend.

Emily took ballet for 10 years of her life, but she became " a bit too curvy for it. " As a curvy girl myself who took ballet, I salute you!

Emily loves her knee high socks. She gets her's from Sock Dreams.

A surprise inside.

Presidentially perfect.

A slip in one of Emily's favored colors, chartreuse.

Black Tie Optional

I like those black collar things.

Silken Floss

For those of you who have seen the new trailer for " The Spirit " you must know that Scarlett Johansson will be in it as Silken Floss. I must admit, I am kind of excited about this movie. I enjoyed Sin City, I like film noir, and comics/graphic novels, but mostly because Scarlett Johansson looks so awesomely femme fatale.

Are You Afriad of The Dark?

Who remembers Are You Afraid of The Dark? Or any mid-90s to late-90s Nickleodeon show? The good stuff, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, etc.

Summer always makes me feel nostalgic.

Clown Shoes...And Socks

Ever since seeing The Dark Knight yesterday, I have become obsessed with the combination of bright, checkered socks and scruffy, slighty clownish shoes that The Joker wears. I try to hunt down some look-a-likes.

The Original
These socks are perfect, but yourprops.com is very annoying in a way that they don't seem to sell anything.

These are apparently handmade, but again, they are from yourprops.

Okay, these aren't exactly the same but the have the right idea, and they are called " Carnival. " Found at joyofsocks.com

I found these two pairs, and they are pretty much the same, except the second one has laces. They are very affordable at amazon.com, but unfortunately they are Steve Madden, and he is not known for the best quality shoes.

Look, even Teen Vogue is doing it. The downside? The socks are $50 and the shoes are $255. Ouch.
